Overall, over 30 European nations are represented in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking 2021. The UK in specific comes in the lead as about 100 UK universities appear in the prestigious table of THE 2021. Spain follows the UK as the next most represented European country with 50 institutions. However, Switzerland’s ETH Zurich “Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich” comes remarkably in the top five of THE 2021. Other prominent European universities and institutions comes in the top European universities include Swedish, Dutch, German, and French universities. While Italy has 49 universities and institutions in the THE ranking, but its top-ranked institution doesn’t make it into the top 50 in Europe or the top 100 internationally.
